The four major lines
- Heart line
- Runs under the fingers. It is read for how you feel, love and connect with others.
- Head line
- Crosses the middle of the palm. It is read for how you think, learn and make decisions.
- Life line
- Curves around the base of the thumb. It is read for your vitality and the way you meet change. It does not show how long you will live.
- Fate line
- Rises toward the middle finger. It is read for your sense of direction in work and life. Many hands have a faint fate line, or none at all.

Your photo and your privacy
A hand photo is personal, so you agree before the camera opens. The photo is cropped to your hand on your device, and only that one photo is sent.
Our palm-reading provider, AstrologyAPI, uses it with your date of birth and gender to find your lines, then discards the photo and keeps only the palm features it found, for up to 30 days. We do not keep the photo you take: with your reading we keep, encrypted, the provider's picture of your palm with your lines drawn on it, and your results, for 7 days, or 365 days if you buy the complete reading. You can delete them at any time.

Which hand should I use?
Use the hand you write with. Hold it open and flat, fingers together, in bright, even light without flash, and take off rings, bracelets and watches.
What happens to my photo?
It is cropped to your hand on your device and sent once, with your date of birth and gender, to our palm-reading provider, AstrologyAPI, which discards the photo once your lines are read and keeps only the palm features it found, for up to 30 days. We do not keep the photo you take. Does the life line show how long I will live?
No. In palmistry the life line is read for vitality and the way you meet change, never for the length of a life.
Lost the link to your paid reading?
Enter the email you used at checkout, or the one your gift was sent to. If a paid palm reading is connected to it, we send a private link that works once, for 15 minutes.
There is no account or password. A free Glimpse can only be reopened with its original private link.
